NO CONTROLLER DETECTED
A controller works without binding anything: the left stick moves, A shoots, B passes, X fakes, Y is the elbow, RT is turbo, LB switches and START calls time out. Plug one in and start playing — the keys keep working alongside it.
Pick a slot, then press any key, mouse button or controller button. The blue slots are controller buttons, and they rebind exactly like the rest; the left stick always moves and is not bound to anything. A slot you clear stays empty. The two sides of the ball have their own buttons, so the same one can shoot with the ball and block without it — bind them apart if you would rather it did not.
WASD / ARROWSMove & cutRelease to brake. Change direction to shake your defender.
LEFT MOUSE / JShoot / blockHold to rise, release to shoot. Without the ball, jump to contest.
MIDDLE MOUSE / KPass / stealPress the scroll wheel to pass; control follows the catch. Right-click steals on defense. Keyboard K passes or steals.
RIGHT MOUSE / SHIFTBring the turboHold right mouse to sprint with the ball, then left-click near the rim to dunk. On defense, right-click swipes for a steal, and turbo with it is a shove: put him on the floor and the ball comes loose.
Q pump fakes; E or a side mouse button protects the ball with an elbow and costs turbo. Turbo + pass lobs to a teammate near the hoop. Backpedal into a shot for a fadeaway; release early for a quicker, harder shot. Jump for an offensive rebound near the rim to attempt a putback. Replays are saved for your own jams, lead changes and the closing seconds, and can be skipped with the button or shoot/pass. Space passes while you have the ball and switches defenders while you do not; the arrow over a head is the man you are driving. Every key, mouse button and controller button can be rebound from CONTROLS in the menu or the pause screen. Hold turbo and yank the stick back against a man in your chest to spin off him. Let go of turbo near the rim and you lay it in instead of jamming; the corners are three from closer in than the top of the key. Your partner's number rides the edge of the screen when the camera leaves him behind. PLAYERS: 2 in the menu puts a second player on your side — arrows to move, / . , for shoot, pass and turbo — and each of you keeps your own man all match. Halftime prints the box score. Make two consecutive baskets with one player to heat up, three to catch fire — four if he was the last one burning, and nobody catches fire an eighth time. On fire you dunk from anywhere and the net burns. An opponent basket puts the fire out. Hold turbo to dunk from range: without it a long attempt becomes a jump shot. Trail badly and the officials start missing your goaltends. Touch controls appear on touch devices. Escape pauses.
